How to Measure Antenna Offset
For Boat Lane Tracking purposes, the antenna offset allows the antenna to be mounted to the left or right of the boat's centreline in such a way that it is less likely to be knocked from its intended position by passengers etc.
The offset entered into Boat Lane Settings must be the antenna's perpendicular distance from the centreline of the boat. Measurement is from the centre of the antenna. Positive values are to the right (ie towards the driver) and negative values are to the left (away from the driver).
If the mount is positioned square to the direction of the boat, then simply measure the distance along the length of the pylon mount.
If the mount is not square to the direction of the boat, measure the perpendicular distance as in the picture below.
